I probably won't get another rifle so a .58 is out of the picture.  I posted my soon-to-be most fired rifle that replaces my .36 SMR.  My go to deer rifle, then, will be my second since I've used it on about everything one can shoot.

Former most used, .36 SMR.

Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

my t/c renegade .56 smoothbore.  cant really explain  it, its kind of heavy, 100% stock so not very pretty, but I just enjoy it! squirrel and rabbit hunt with shot out to about 20 yards or so, and it will put patched roundballs into about a 5 inch group at 50 yards. Good enough for me! Plus its kind of cool when my modern firearm hunting friends say its useless.....and i bag as much game as they do.
Mongrel is building me a 12 ga caplock when he gets the time. Seeing his previous work, im sure it will become a favorite!

I can not post in this topic because all my rifles, pistols, and smoothbores get the same amount of usage... It's pretty bad when Powder inc knows you by your first name and has you permit and cc on file... And with the new Cannon I will have to order more powder shortly.... or start making my own I did not say that....

I would guess my most prized is actually a toss up between the .50 cal Tennessee that Dryball sold me, the TVM Early Lancaster "Patience", and the  12 gauge double barrel Coach Gun  Hanshi sold me....   Aww heck I love em all and nobodys gonna get any of them until the Bulldog Lady auctions them off after I go to the great beyond.

Auctioning them off? No, she said you get into too many duels so she is offering them as rewards to hasten your trip to the great beyond.    hdslp  ROFL
I am the one your mom warned you about!

If I want a rifle gun, it'd be my TC Hawken 50. (top of the rack)

If it's a short gun I want, it'll be my LePage.  The 25 yard three shot group was prior to making a new front sight.  Now it shoots to point of aim.

well ! I cant claim one at the moment ! closest thing I have to a black powder rifle is a govt . issued indian wars  suppository  rifle   :mini-devil-28492:, it being a .45 /70 trapdoor springfield !
