Did not know there was a Rondy there and haven't been there in years but the Superstition Mountains area is just about my favorite place on earth. Spent a lot of time looking up from the streets of Apache Junction and hiking up to visit a couple of plane wrecks around the peaks. Not to mention the eerie feeling that overcomes you flying around them. Is this Rondy an annual event? I would like to get info on it for next year.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

Yes, it is annual. it is a Powderhorn Clan event. We would be delighted if you hooked up with us. http://ftta.proboards.com/ is a board that AZ skinners (mostly) post to with info.

totally off subject - but My Grand parents used to winter in Apache Jct. and told me the Lost Dutchman Mine was supposed to be up there somewhere in the Superstitions, but you couldn't look for it for all the dopers running around with machine guns....
