When you tip the can to pour powder into your measure the lid opens and when you return it to the upright position it automatically closes over the spout. It is really nice that you don't have to remember to re-cap your can at the bench or shooting table. Just remove the can cap and insert the cork stopper and your ready to go. $10 ea. shipped
