Getting closer, slipped out to the shop after supper and made the side plat made. Back shaping and sanding tomorrow if all goes as planned.

Well it's a working gun . Now I have to go through some photos and try deciding if and what kind of simple carving,engraving and inlays I want.

I finally found a example of the simple style of carving on a original rifle that I liked and finally started my first attempt a carving today.

Started working on the tang carving. It is all relieved but my photo only shows the one side.

Well I'm in the home stretch on # 9.. Got the side plate engraved and my name engraved on the barrel today and this evening I got the stock stained and the first coat of BLO applied. I'll post her again when it's finished.

Thanks guys. The worst part of Using BLO is waiting for the drying time....I'll post her finished as soon as I get her put together.

Finished it up this afternoon, weather is lousy for photos, dark, rain, storms. I'll try later on for better photos.
