I finally started a new painting in 2014. I have 4 sections in this so far. This will be a full body with some surrounding 18x24. The cub is so cute I just could not pass up painting it.

Well, you gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie?

Thanks Hawkens,
if you have a constructive criticism feel free. I painted for an hour last night , American Pickers was on and the shop
would not not warm up enough to feel comfortable enough to paint.
This is interesting. I only paint under yellow light  but the white light tends to see like the photo. To much blue for my taste.

Papa

Dave,
Your work is outstanding. Might sound funny but I like this one just the way it is.

Thanks Papa, I have a good friend who says that all the time.  I see what you mean but I also see where this is going.

Dave  I kinda like it under the white light........... It makes it look like its a cold winter evening if ya know what i mean.

Thanks Old Salt !
Got a nice full day in on this Sunday. Worked out a back ground .

DaveHawk

with the background roughed in I started working the detail. that will be behind a small pine.  I'm totally not sure about this but I want this kitty to have a good 3D look.

DaveHawk

I still need to figure out what I will do with the right side.  But I figure I have tomorrow and all weekend. This snow will cripple the DC area I hope then I can paint till I'm sick of it. LOL

DaveHawk

with all the snow and a lot of down time I was able to get some good time in on this.

Calling this one Done. After a day painting waiting for the GE repairman to show up , I was able to get a full day in instead of 2or3 evening sits. Thanks for the comments and following. Now to find the next one.
