Blanket Pin....”on the cheap!”

I was tinkering in the shop yesterday when I found this one inch brass plated ring in my parts bin. I've been wanting a small Celtic / Blanket pin for my kit and figured it would be perfect to make one. A few minuets later with a hacksaw, a piece of coat hanger, pliers and hammer, I have one ........"on the cheap!"  ;D

That's OK....it's brass plated steel not really brass.....so I can still go for that famous brass ring!  dntn

Yep - Always nice to be able to make somethng nice outta materials on hand... I like the posts where we look at scrap odds 'N ends and the light bulb comes on and we make something nice outta stuff that would have been tossed in the garbage or firebox!

Just for those folks who don't know, could someone with better verbal skills than me, splain how that thing works!

I found a youtube video that shows a guy that made these the same way and shows how they work...if that helps.
