Cheap grease for cap and ball

I recon this is my first post but i wanted to tell everbody that i shoot remington cap and ball sometimes and i bought some candle wax from a candle factory up the road thinking id have to add something but i used this under the ball and shot 38 rounds and it was as smooth and loose as when i started plus it cleaned up easier than ever. Its made from bees wax and vegetable oil  if you look up Lighthouse Candles you'll find how to contact him his name is Charles Mckenzie and hell probly be glad to send you some. I gave five dollars for enough to last for years. Theyr nice people there. Tell the girl that answers Garry Robinson sent you . Well i geuss for a first time i was long winded wasnt i.

I always used crisco in mine .I guess whatever you can come up with thats inexpensive and works. Just something that keeps the flash from getting in contact with the powder in the other cylinders.

I use Crisco  and bees wax to make a cookie and load it under the ball on my revolvers  it keeps the fouling soft and helps with clean up

   I use a similar cookie myself Creekside . I use beeswax and Olive oil for mine,

I use the same mix with a little olive oil to dip lube bullets  I powder the cookies with a little corn meal to keep them from sticking together
