Another surprise

Several years ago my wife bought me a couple of shadow boxes. One had a pouch and a tomahawk in it. Like most things that hand on walls, it was banised to the shed of things that I like that no longer have a place in the actual living area. I found it while moving things around a couple of days ago and I guess the last time we moved it got water damaged. So I decided to take it apart and see what could be done. Much to my surprise, it was a real tomahawk pipe that was in there. I mean it is probably a cheap imitation but it does look pretty cool. I am rehydrating the leather and will clean up the edges and put it back on. It has no marks or name on it and it weighs all of 11 oz, but the pipe part works and it does have an edge.

They were sold as "Iroquois pipe hawk" by several supliers years ago. Nice find.

Thnaks for the link. You are indeed correct, that one looks exactly like the one I have. Won't really be much use to me since you can't cut with it, can't throw it, and I don't smoke, but it will go into my primitive go bag. I may not know what I am doing, but I will look good while doing it.
