My first woven Quiver....finished # 2 today (10/25/12 )

I watched a video on making a river cane quiver so I thought I'd give it a try. No river cane on hand so I picked up some reed basket weaving supplies and jumped in.  Ordered some additional materials and looking forward to my next one.

Looks good. Is it noisy? or do the points kind of lock into the weave and keep quite?

Finisded up number two today..........used a form to keep it more uniform shape and added some color.

           WOW     I thought the first quiver was nice.     This second quiver looks like you actually went out and bought it.     VERY NICE     Fantastic workmanship and planning.     Beautiful quiver.

Thanks everyone, I thought I'd do a little touch up on the colored sections and tone down the mid section. So far no arrows protruding through the bottom but if needed you could put a small round piece of leather or something in  the bottom.  I'm not sure about the noise factor??

An old trick to reduce noise is to wad up some dead grass and put it in the quiver. It should also reduce the chances of an arrow going through the bottom, but a disk of wood or leather will do an even better job of keeping an arrow from going through.
