Removal of ads

Over the next several days, most of the ads (and replies to them) that are over six weeks old, will be removed to the Archives. This is to comply with the new rule that Badger first posted in Announcements and that he or I has added to each of the sets of rules governing the various For Sale, Wanted, and Trade categories.

There may be exceptions made to this time frame, on a case-by-case basis. These will generally be for ongoing offers of goods or services, but other considerations may factor in.

More recent ads will be moved with a "redirection topic" left in their place, announcing the removal and providing a link to the new Archives topic. Older ads, particularly those posted by no-longer-active members, will be removed to the Archives without the redirection post. Where the redirection posts have been left in the original ad's place, they will be removed within a short time -- they're for the benefit of giving our members sufficient time to become aware of the new system.
