I've had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Mike at Friendship a couple of times.  His sincerety and generosity is what brought me back the second time.  I'm looking forward to working with him to see what he can do with my little squirrel rifle!

Mongrel follows the Golden Rule.
And expects every one else too.
Things work out much better for everyone that way. thmbsup

Mike's knowledgeable and an excellent builder.  I'm hoping to one day get a "Mongrel" built.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

Hanshi, I got lucky and got one of Mongrel's early built 32's..Been shooting it more than any of my others ever since...he offered me a speciel deal for it when I really couldn't afford a new rifle..then on payoff, sent me a flint lock ignition for a rifle I am now finally finishing...last deal--butplate and trigger guard for finishing touches...I'd still be dreaming of a squirel rifle and wouldn't have ever had all the projects I  have worked on with out help from Mike...supplies and knowhow..thanks for all Mike...hope to meet you face to face one day....

I have one Mongrel rifle and one more on the way. Mike did a stock for my CVA .45 Kentucky(that burned, the stock, not the rifle.), and I bought a box of stock patterns from him  (also gone). BUT Mike has ALWAYS upheld his end! The rifle/whatever is ALWAYS exactly as he represents it, no more, no less. His work is excellent, his word is excellent! I would go into court tomorrow and say the same under oath!

Enough of my rant.

I'm on the same side of the same row as Log Cabin Shop and Dixie Gun Works, in a double booth third from the other end. My sign says "Choose Your Weapon" (name of my LLC) and out front would have been two wooden racks with about half a dozen to eight guns on each, most of them smaller rifles. I'm next door to 2 Buck Traders, where you would have seen a nice assortment of smaller knives, beadwork, and a few guns, mostly T/C. Directly across from me is Deathwind, where stock blanks and a couple barrels full of curly maple walking sticks are sold.

pathfinder

Yup,we met! Got a really nice octagon blank walking stick in awsome curly maple. I had bib's and a grey pony tail. Yeah,I know, that REALLY narrow's it down! Oh,and I was DROOLING all over the place!!!! dntn
