Just as an add-on,

That area described as "Hornet's Nest" in north east Ga against the SC line is very lightly populated today and much of it is similar to Rev war days.  It makes for good haunts for historian/re-enactor types. If any of you get to this area and want a tour of some good country, research something or a shooting spot e-mail and let me know!  We'd love the company.

I live within one mile of the site of the Battle of "Jack's Creek" at Monroe, GA which was a small fracas between militia and British supplied and motivated Native Americans fought several years after the Rev War.  Because of the high population in this area and changes to the terrain by bulldozer as well as the waterways all put underground, we have been trying unsuccessfully to locate the exact site for 30 years.  The last person who was helpful due to a working knowlege of town's layout pre-pavement died a few years ago.  This is very different from the situation two hours north or one hour east where things have been largely left as they were.
