  Just got back from the range and saw this post.Hammerhead,dont let it git to ya,somethin will come around.We had two girls there today in their teens,one had never held a gun before.Before ya know it they'd burned up a brick of 22's and was burnin powder in a 60 army,my 45-70 sharps,a 73 winchster and their smiles were gittin bigger and bigger.Aint nuthin like tuning in youg folks to sumpthin besides trouble.

Well, Kris, I realize how badly you wanted the flute, but....

I have to speak with the voice of age and experience here. It's not something I do often and I'm not good at it. I'd just figure this one to be a lost cause unless one of the guys here is able to post an inquiry on that site and find out who the guy with the flute was, and get the two of you in touch with one another. In the meantime, write it off to experience and wait for another deal to come along. One will. In some way that you don't even know now, it'll be a better deal than the one you missed out on.

I would also, just speaking from my own personal opinion, shake the dust of that place from my feet and take a long walk away, never looking back. I'm looking at what the Admins of that dunghole accomplished here, and their reasons for doing it -- instead of simply deleting the one post and giving you a polite warning, they punished you in a way that has you feeling pretty bad. In the process they also deprived another guy, completely unconnected to your infraction, the chance at what he might have thought was a sweet deal. And why? Because you broke a rule?

It is my humble opinion that laws and rules are only of value when their existence and enforcement serves some positive purpose. I don't see how any such thing has happened, here, and in deadly seriousness, addressing anyone who might read this -- I really question the thinking and motives of anyone who would associate with people that self-important and self-righteous, regardless of what benefit they might feel they're getting from the arrangement.

I've walked away from more than one forum or actual gathering of people that I thought initially I might get along with. I don't do it to be a horse's hind end, I do it because my principles in regard to how I feel people ought to treat one another are of far greater value than the company of any number of my fellow human beings.

Take that for what it's worth. And remember, the Shoots are less than two weeks away. You'll find flutes to buy and actually be able to hold and study them before plunking down your hard-earned cash. I suspect you'll find it's worth the wait and trouble.

have to agree with mongrel , you`re better off without that sort ! people like that tend to try to bring you down , aint worth the you have to tolerate ! I got into black powder for the fun aspect , not the aspect ! and what they did to you was just that ...BS ! it`s kinda like a fake friend , lose a fake friend , you have`nt lost a thing !

Well, you got me there, it seems the two weren't related but I'm not really "in the know" so to speak about that other place.  Like others, I suggest you just move on and if there's something to learn from the experience then so be it, if not then no skin off your teeth.
