I am in need of leggings and a breechclout, or the materials to make them myself. I do not have cash, but do have items for trade. available are three knives that are basically new. They have been removed from their boxes but never used for anything. Total retail value would come out to about $120. Also, I have two shooting bags that I will include. Both of them are hand made by myself and I would probably sell them for about 35 dollars each.

So,anybody willing to make a trade, please send me a personal message. And here's a couple pics of what I'm offering:

when you get your leggins you might need a set of garters to hold them up i know a guy in ohio who does nice work thmbsup

That would be true, except that I'm looking for the western style that would normally go up to the hip and be held up by a strap or belt.

ok gotcha. well good luck bud.  thmbsup

There are a lot of good free patterns out there.  Alot of them suggest using a pair of old jean legs for a pattern,  then you decide if you want fringe ,flaps or which ever style suits your persona.  Same goes for breechcloth.  If'n you are of the more modest sort, the woodland tribes also made beautiful, they call them aprons to wear over the breech.  Good luck and send pics.

Thanks for the info, Bull Dog Lady. But patterns are the last thing I need. I got so many patterns I don't know what to do with them all. In other words, projects for many years to come. My problem right now is aguiring the materials I need for my current project. I figure a couple comercial deer-skins with the epedermis layer sanded off will suffice for a first pair of leggins. As for the breechclout, almost anything will work. Especially since I'll have on a very long shirt I'm trying to get done to cover me.

The only reason I've chosen to go with leggings is that I've lost so much weight in the past year, that my only pair of period correct trousers can no longer be altered to fit. And even with braces they still have a lot of slack in the waist. I just don't have the time to save up and get a new pair, or materials before the only Rondy I can afford to go to this year happens. That's the reason for the trade I offered above.

The broadfall  trousers I have now started as 54 waist and 30 inseam. Now I've got them down to 49 waist with the same 30 inch inseam. What I need is a 46 to 47 waist. But I don't know if a trade would work for me, Badger. After looking at the bills I have to pay in a few days, I'll just barely have enough to pay for gas to the rondy I've been planning to go to. I would not want to make you wait for a return package.

As it is, I'm seriously considering just bagging the idea of going to any rondy this year. The one I was planning on going to is the only one I've found whithin 100 miles of me. Anything farther will cost too much to get there and back.

But at least I've found a great diet plan that really works for me. I've lost 87 pounds just over the winter alone with no excercise and all the food I want or can afford. The down side is that the chemotherapy leaves me really wiped out for the rest of that day and most of the next. snns

I hear you cash is tight all over!  as it is the pants i have wouldn't work for you anyway... they are 38 in waist and 32 inseam...
