What things? "Pre-flintlock" covers a lot of ground.

If you mean a matchlock, they're relatively easy to make (and even to get acceptably period correct).

If a wheellock -- if you have to ask, you can't afford it....

If one of the "pre-flintlock" flintlocks, such as a miquelet or snaphance -- fairly simple mechanisms, about on a par with a flintlock, but they're not exactly common so you pay for the rarity of such a critter.

Depending on how PC a body wants to get and which lock type he wants, prices will range from pretty easily affordable, for a simple matchlock, to the point where if you need to be able to afford to sign a check, leave the amount blank, and hand it to a custom gunsmith to fill in himself.
