Till now I wouldn't have used wipe-on blue (either the Birchwood Casey flavors or the 44-40 sold by Dixie Gun Works) on anything but inexpensive guns, unless I was using the blue-and-bleach finish I described a few posts back. This Super Blue, though, does a streak-free, consistent job with even color the length of the barrel, and really doesn't LOOK like bluing. Both customers whose smoothbores got this finish picked up their guns this weekend and were delighted -- and we all know the customer is always right....

Definitely be buying more of this product.
