Track Bombs!!!! been there done that , Know what ya mean M'Man, once made a shot gun out of the old side by side legs of a kitchen table-emptied some of the old mans 303 cartridges-packed her tight-added BBs-set her off-----DUMB, DUMB,DUMB and thats all I'll say on that subject-an' iffen ya repeat it I'll Deny,deny,deny-    but in my own defense I wasn't but 10 or 12, D***n lucky I made it to thirteen

Let's see, things that go boom. There was home-made blackpowder, found the formula in an old encyclopedia in the school library, liberated sulpher & saltpeter from the chem. lab(it was my homeroom), did some rough corning with wooden spoons and pressing. Great boom when shot at in cans and bottles. Could make targets by rolling out wet and using cookie cutter. Stepdad spent some time as a shooter in the coal mines, brought home some gelegnite(sp?) and blasting caps,we used it to get house coal from highwalls when it wasn't worth going after by the strip mining company. Dad had permission from the mine boss. Some friends and I were exploring around an old abandoned deep mine and found some dynamite. When we brought it out into the sunlight, one of guys said , "oh look, it's so cold that it's sweating." I told them to very carefully put it down then I slowly wiped some of the sweat off & said, "watch this, moved about 20 ' away & flicked it against some rocks. After the popping I told them it was nitro. Then we went to an old strip mine, tossed a couple sticks into the pit to see them explode when they hit bottom and got rid of the rest by putting against a cut bank & shooting them 1 @ a  time. I had a friend who made his own nitroglycerin. It only took him 3 sheds to make his first & only batch. Like making our own Black powder just wanted to see if it could be done. My wife says the only reason I'm still here is that God was saving me for her. I tell her I didn't think that I was that bad.

Well after much deliberation with my comrades at arms here, and too much thinkin "hurts me brain" plus momma threatening me  I'm sad to report I will not be building a cannon out of my old "FULL" acetalyne bottle. Instead I'm gonna take it to the shooting range way out in the high desert, bury it up to its neck in a hole, and shoot it  from about 500 yards away. Glory,Glory halleleuya. I will be posting pics. Should be a lovely mushroom cloud.
