crazy pic posting

Your majesty, all powerful, all knowing potentate; I have a problem.

I have gloriously been able to post a couple of photos by accident.  I now have tried to post another photo but it won't post.  What happens is no matter what photo I bring up, click on or choose, another pic - the same one over and over but not the one(s) I pick shows up every time! 

I have before me a full bottle of sleeping pills, enough to kill 7 elephants.  Before I take them, can you enlighten me on how to stop this posting madness?  If successful, I may postpone the pills.  Domo arigato gozaimasu.

This may seem like a strange question but, where are the pictures coming from, (hard drive, posting site, etc.) and what method are you using to post?
