I've always thought is was about getting out there and doing as well. I.ve even made it a point to get at least a couple hours of trail time every day that weather and my health have allowed. But then again, having part of a state park trail system less than a mile away makes it hard to not go.

Now hopefully I can start getting some longer trips soon. But I'll just have to wait until I can get some more cold weather gear first.

Yep, Dryball sure loved his trekin. Around here lately, with hip problems, toooo much work and not enough play only allows me to do my trecking while I'm hunting and even then there seems to be little time to discover new areas of the ranch I havent been into yet. Seems I am too caught up in the modern world.

We used to do treks up around Cusick and Usk.  Back in the day I even did a few up around Kettle Falls.

Termite - It is 70-80F here in Texas - who wants to trek in that?

Reckon the trekking is a part of the grand picture but lets face it, some of us is just gettin a little long in the tooth and crispy in the joints and bones. And where some of  us live- it ain't safe to go out and venture on someones properties, regardless of the intentions.  I'm quite happy to enjoy the rondys and learn from those who did and can still go out and about, and hopefully to preserve some of the skills needed for them, to pass on     my 2 cents worth
