Hey Bo I know what you mean about the movies using time correct equip. but I also remember what my used to say and I quote "Harry watch the dam movie don't analyze it"
I have to conceder the Hollywood mentality. If is a mountain man movies and they are at least using muzzleloaders, that way I can see if the have got it located with in a thousand miles of where it was supposed to have taken place

I watched a movie set in the pioneer days one time ,cant recollect the title but the caractor was called Bushrod or something like that,and they was using trapdoor springfields as muzzleloaders.also seen a civil war one where the extras was carrying the old German Mauser bolt action.guns and knives has always been my passion and that's the first thing i look at in a movie.
