"You are cordially invited to the 2008 'Bob' Virginia State Offhand Championship hosted by the James River Black Powder Club (JRBPC) and sanctioned by the Virginia Muzzleloading Rifle Association (VMLRA). The 'Bob Lee' Championship is open to all round ball, side-hammer shooters. The 'Bob Lee' will go on regardless of weather, so plan appropriately.

Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required.  Period clothing and camping are also encouraged, but not required. A concession stand will be available during shooting hours with coffee, hot chocolate, hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, etc. Free supper provided by the JRBPC on Saturday night at 6:00 PM.

Range opens Oct 10 for practice at 8:00 AM until Noon. Competition shooting begins at 12:30 on Oct 10 until 4:30 PM. Competition shooting begins Oct 11 at 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM. Competition shooting begins Oct 12 at 8:30 AM until 2:00 PM.  Last relay starts at 1:00 PM. Awards Ceremony on Oct 12 at 3:00 PM.

We look forward to good shooting, good times and good friends. Please come and join us as we celebrate America's Muzzleloader heritage and connection to our forefathers.

The 'Bob Lee' matches include: Primitive Aggregate, Traditional Aggregate, Ladies Aggregate, Juniors Aggregate, Seniors Aggregate, Pistol Aggregate, Trap, Men's Hawk, Men's Knife, Ladies Hawk, Junior's Hawk, Smoothbore, and several more. 

All Traders are welcome with no fee, but please contact us early to coordinate.

There is primitive and limited modern camping available. Bring your own water. Sanitation facilities and firewood are provided. No electric, water or sewage hook ups. No pets allowed. The JRBPC Range is for muzzleloaders shooting round ball only (pre-1850)."
