first let me say that not once have i ever dressed to go to a shoot or a vouze, but you could'nt get me in the woods at gun point without my hunting cloths.in fact that is what i consider them as,hunting cloths.also i'm not trying to portray any particular person or time frame, this is just how i ended up looking(sorry ;D).i guess what i'm getting at is that i do this for me,not anybody else,so dont worry about hurting my feelings.i would like to hear your opinions.

You'd make one heck of a Russian Cossack....I mean this as a compliment.

David
I have no clue what a Cossack is but
I love the hat(got the pattern for it), mocs, leggings, shirt, repaired riflegun: the whole look!!
About the only thing that jumps out at me is you are TOO CLEAN.

(who knows nothing about historical dress)

new shirt Jerry :),this picture is only the second time i've worn it. i was gonna wear it turkey huntin' but probably not a good color to be runnin' around in the turkey woods hntr  i made the hat without a pattern Jerry, nothing to it.you find some fur you want to make one from and give me a holler and i'll give you some instructions. this one is muskrat,i am getting ready to make one from a couple possum hides without a brim.it's just a basic pill-box style hat.

Wear it David
Man just think what a successful Turkey hunt wearing a blue shirt and shooting a front stuffer would do for Mossy Oak and Realtree  camo sales.

On the hat
I got a PRIME LARGE Bobcat hide already tanned with your stuff for just such a hat, Also have the pattern, just haven't taken the time to get started

a cossack, is 19th century and earlier Russian mounted cavalry. considered sarisons of the north! fierce fighters, wicked with a saber. my Lithuanian great grand father was a cossack.

by the way, nice outfit and good for you doing it just for yourself!

Ironwood

I have no idea if that outfit is PC or not, but I LIKE IT!  David, seeing as to how turkeys can see color something just a little more subdued might be in order.   ROFL

i was more conserned about it being mistaken for the blue on a turkeys head, but you're right it would stick out like a booger in a punchbowl. i have a green one i wear turkey hunting

old salt

I am not sure about the blue, but I have gotten dear to come under my tree
stand with a red hanker chief hanging on a limb under it. so who knows
All gave some Some gave all

Getting off topic here but... Deer are supposed to be color blind.

bull frog

I'm no expert but, looks good to me.  And like it's been said, as long as you are happy with it, who cares what other people think.  I am sure that most everyone else has worn something at one time or another that wasn't Kosher.

Roaddog

I think you look darn good. You look like you just stepped out of 1800. And reading your post foe some time now. I would bet that you made all or most of what you have on. And man to me that is very special.
