Postal Shoot Rules

These rules are only slightly up for debate, but I think that they will work for all involved.

1.  Target will be shot in accordance with the stated monthly scenario, as posted in this section for that month.  All targets will have concentric circles for scoring, and the aggregate score will be the winner - in case of a tie the closest bullet hole center to center of target will be the tie breaker. (see target below)

2.  Targets will be shot 5 times.  Any targets with more than 5 shots will be disqualified.  Please mark your shots.  

3.  Secure targets in such a way as to not interfere with shot counts, i.e. don't use a nail as big as the .54 caliber ball you are shooting to hold the paper as we might confuse it for a shot hole.

4.  Prizes blankets:  will be optional
            If we get donated items we will list them and request that there be a vote of how those prizes are awarded, i.e. 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and a special basement dweller prize.  Prizes will be mailed by the person donating to the person winning.  

5.  Postal shoot target will be the monthly target posted as a PDF.  If additional file types are needed let me know and we can help out with that.

6.  We will vary based on demand between rifle, pistol, smoothbore, and whatever other contraptions you guys have made or bought.

7.  Each month will have new target and a new position as in Offhand, Bench, shooting sticks, along with that month's distance to target. At least we will try....

8. Individuals who have volunteered to Judge and were selected as a judge for the previous month, and/or individuals who donated a prize within the last 60 days, will receive 1 extra shot with the top 5 being counted.    No you cannot donate a prize and be a judge for a total of 7 shots.... sheesh....

9. Targets will be accepted via snail mail, Fax. PDF or other electronic media but original target must be kept available for submission in case the judge requests it be mailed in.
