Mr Woodchuck

Anybody know of a source for 40 caliber flintlock barrels for the Lyman Great Plains rifle.
Track of de Wolf did at one time have percussion barrels.
Really like to see a drop in or lil work needed option...
Maybe I need to ask Santa for this one ... he used to listen sometimes.
  lol

Doug

Have you been a good enough boy to expect anything from Santa this year?  If not better streighten up the year is already over half gone. ;D

Mr Woodchuck

I have been kinda good ... sometimes.

Green Mountain would be where I would start.  Whenever I have looked at their site, they have lots of barrels to choose from.

But I'll warn you, they are proud of some of those barrels.

Gosh, I haven't been on the Internet much in the last two weeks.  I changed to a day job, and its messed up my surfin' schedule!

It sure is great to see things have taken off on this site.  I'm glad.

I check in almost every time on, but I haven't had time to really sit and check everything out much.  But I'm adjusting.

I plan on posting more in the future, but right now I'm just trying to catch up on my reading!  There is a lot here.

I'll say one thing that I like better about this new site over the old one:  I haven't double-posted yet.  (I've probably blew right there, but you have to take chances sometimes.   ;D)

Have a good day.

Outdoorman

Whew!  I was a little worried I double-posted that last one!

I got my .40 caliber barrel from Track of the Wolf.  They had them on sale plus they would pay the postage.  Came in for just under $200.00.  The barrel is worth every penny.  Shot great right from the get go.  No breaking in.  The barrel is 32" long and very heavy, sure glad I didn't get the 40" barrel.

Mr Woodchuck

Now Bernie  went n sold me on them oreo barrels ... my poke aunt never gonna be full of gold... mise well turn it inta a ball bag ...
Oregon Barrels .... Alot of barrrels shoot  better than G/Mountain.
lol
