Having not heard much from the peanut gallery I wanted to check and make sure everyone is still on the right side of the dirt - is there even a "right" side.  The west is dry and burning up, the climate's insane and this virus is seeming to be a prison camp commandant.  All you good ol' chitlin eaters holler back at me if you're still okay!

It looks like it will be a good while before I will be able to see enough to shoot.  So the season is out for me, as it stands.  I know yall have other critical issues on your minds same as I do.  I respect that and my thoughts are for everyone to be and stay okay.  West coast prisoners, especially brother hotfxr, stay safe and try and check in.

I wish that the storm due to hit south MS & LA monday night, tuesday morning could be redirected to the left coast. They need the rain and we have had more than our share. Would love to give them all of this one. Some predictions are for up to 11 inches or more in some areas.

Hanshi   take care of your eye sight because the shooting sports aren't braille friendly.

Not so good news here - I have been Substitute teaching 6th grade Science but will have to give it up next Thursday as I need to prepare for Sept 25 2020

- I go under the knife for cervical operation - they have decided that I need my neck rebuilt or I stand a 90% chance of becoming paralyzed.  It is bad enough that the doc gave me no alternative and when I called the V.A. for a second opinion they said 5 surgeons had looked at the films and all agreed I should already be paralyzed from the neck down.  (I know according the the other boosways I am already paralyzed from the neck up   pnic )...  Anyway I will be out from the 25th to about the 29th, then should be home recuperating. Then as soon as the doc allows back to school, currently 6th grade science.  Ten in Nov 8th grade social studies...    Onward and Upward.

I've added you to the prayer list along with Sir Hanshi and his brother hotfxr. Good luck in the surgery and I'll ask that the Lord give you extra strength to withstand a room full of sixth graders.

I really hope that you have an excellent surgical team.

The wonders of modern medicine. Knowing that you will have a stiff neck for a while, I am willing to take the Quigley off your hands to prevent any further injury. No, don't thank me, it's just the right thing to do.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

And since I am bigger than htfxr, I will willingly accept custody of the REST of your arms. Just to help out you understand.  ;D

I'm still around but have moved from Colorado to Oklahoma. The new house is nice, but I gave up a really nice storage, reloading and trophy area and have been busy with the transition and the downsizing.
I haven't had a chance to shoot for months.

I'm still here off and on.  Recovering from burns now on top of recovery from chemo.  Drs said I would be dead by now but they missed my expiration date by 2 yrs so far. Planning to be around a good while yet, but have a long way to go to be able to use my bow and hike with rifle.  I'll make it yet and may have to get over Red Badger way for Di to pamper me and save Jim from being smothered in her love all alone.

Hanshi

Badger can no longer handle recoil so has no further use for his rifles.  Anyway, he stole a shotgun from me years back and knows better than to shoot that "bone buster".

DandJofAZ, that's not an expiration date at all; that's your "best used by" date.  Doesn't mean you're not still good, just that you're in the warranty period.  You'll be leveling those hills yet!

Hanshi;
I was very "used hard and put away wet" by my "best used by date", but I'm still planning to get back to a semi normal life.  Red Badger will be recovering for some time, so maybe we should all stop by his place and help him out.  Tulsa OK must be about the middle of a line from Maine and North Idaho so maybe we should race to there the first of Dec. or sometime in the spring.  May have to drive.  I think my long trek days may be over.
