Being "powder poor" is as painful as being without one's favorite whiskey; that's where I am, powder poor.  Been thinking next time just order some Graf's.  Word on the street is that it's Goex powder made for Graf's.  Main thing is that Graf's and Jack's Battle Powder are about the cheapest around.  Usually 3F is used in all my guns but with some loads I use 2F.

What powders do you prefer?  Got any comparisons to post or unusual results?  So get up off yer bums and let's talk powders.  NOW!   hntr
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

Hanshi I use 3F Goex powder exclusively now,.. although I have used Pyrodex RS in the past with the cap-locks ... The Goex Black powder is easy to buy and get at $17.50?? [hmm] a pound at the Club and a pretty good deal.

have 3 pounds of goex FFF and two pounds of pyrodex  rs ! as little shooting as I do , they should last a good while !  some of it I`ve had for 20 years !

I have full case of 3f of Goex and about 4 lb. of 2f. The case of 3f is because of people backing out of a deal, but that is ok. at least I will have all the powder I will need for the revolvers

Mostly GOEX, for a while I won enough Sheutzen that I mostly shot it in my pistols and revolvers.

Right now my powder is in Lawton and I'm in Oklahoma City so all I have is what is in my flasks and some Pyrodex RS (Which I hate because it makes my guns rusty.), but since I haven't got a place to shoot or anyone to shoot with I'm not doing any shooting.

I have found a place to shoot modern trap and skeet and there is one indoor range that has told me that black powder is ok but I haven't shot there yet.

In the middle of October I plan to drive back to Colorado to shoot the Bird and Buffalo with my friends there and I have a place to hunt deer and pigs after I have been here long enough to get a resident license. Such is life, I moved here because my wife wanted to and there are some good reasons for the move but starting over is hard.
