Haven't seen any posts the last few days. Hope everyone's doing OK. For those in the area of Florence, let us know your ok when you get the chance. It not real user friendly there. I've got a friend in Atlantic Beach, N.C. and a nephew in Myrtle Beach so I know it's a little hairy in those areas.

So far we're okay here in Maine.  I just say a prayer for those along the SE coast from Va to Ga.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

It is good in South Central Kansas except for the dang skeeters. Already have the folks in the Eastern U. S. on my Prayer list, along with you folks on the forum Lord knows we all need them  hdslp

Drying out here in the old Tarheel state today, good to see the sun!  I ain't never seen it rain so hard and so much.  I live about 150 miles from the coast and still got almost 12 inches of rain and wind 45 mph I can only imagine how those people at  the coast fared.  We didn't lose power until yesterday about  5:00and got it back on about 11:30 today.  For the most part we were spared the worst part of the storm. A few trees down, roads flooded, a couple bridges washed out but over all we can't complain.  If we do we need to take a look at those people on the coast.  Keep them in your thoughts and prayers now they are going to have to deal with all the water and flooding from all the run down.

I'm glad to hear that you've come through this storm relatively intact.  I've got kin up and down the east coast that haven't checked in yet so my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the area affected by it. Last year we went through a similar experience after hurricane Harvey but thankfully it was a vacation house and not anyone's homestead. The house had to have a new roof and the entire downstairs had to be gutted and rebuilt due to water damage plus anything that was on the ground level was ruined; fridge, stove, washer/dryer, golf cart, etc.  Other folks has their houses completely destroyed, as close as three lots away.  Homes and appliances can be replaced, people can't.

hi:  Just starting to dry out here in Va.3 days of heavy rain. But we dodged the hurricane. My nephew came up here from Wilmington NC...His house is ok just lost the back fence and one tree that fell...
