Incredibly stupid question (probably) about sideplates

I cannot add to what Mongrel has posted but I can say this: "There is no such thing as a stupid question"  Now I will caution you that you may receive some "not so intelligent" to downright wrong answers here so be ready to sort through the answers you receive from time to time.   Most of us if we are poking fun will add one or more of the emot's you see above the posting panel, but sometimes we forget... 

All in all  the goal here is to have fun and be a clearing house of information and ideas... we are over 450 strong so you may ask a question and get 450 answers each one unique in its own way, but if one of our experts chimes in the others will say the expert is the go to person for that subject.
