clothing patterns

I went through the so called patterns for shirts and trousers, there aren't any on this site, that hasn't had a post in so long I'm doing this. If I have my wife buy patterns for shirts and pants at a local cloth shop, will those work if she makes em out of wool as the ones were made in the period? Can I get by and be period correct if she makes them without a zipper, but uses buttons or leather string stuff?

   Go online to Crazy Crow or look up  Eagle View Patterns, Missouri River or Tandy leather  has some I have used.  If you go to a fabric store- eg. Joanns or Hancocks and watch they will have patterns for 99 cents to 1.99 on Sale  go to costumes and you can find all periods of patterns ( they usually run from $16-20 and up  (sewing on the cheap)!.   Welcome to the site

bulldog lady,  thanks for the help, I found what I need and have ordered, also, used Crazy Crow to buy a hat and shirt.
