UPDATE: Got up all the framing, starting the siding!

Crane and Operator! First sheet up! We set the starter sheet and quit for the day. I'm back on my own now, she works durin the week, and I cant work by the weekend! 

Another view of the crane. I Rigged it so I could move it for the next sheed with ropes from the ground. Ladders really hurt my feet.

Starting the center bay insulation. Yea!!! Insulation and wind and no help!

WHooHooo!!!! Schools out. Young Americans, Redblooded and ready to work and learn.  I can handle that!
I'll get some more up when we start the roof. The kids are dreading that,! Me too!!

Just wonderin bout your project,  lookin good.  What's that silver stuff, a vopor barrior/insulation ?   Looks good....Tom

     That silver stuff looks like the insulation we use on heating and cooling ducts.  Silver on both sides that sandwich bubble wrap.

Pilgrims got it right. All the above.  I didnt want any of that plastic coated stuff for the bugs to live in. Its just in the center bay. Its allso a Radiant barrier. Supposed to reflect the radiant heat back. There will be 3 1/2" glass ins. inside those walls also. Center bay will be air conditioned.

This is working up to being one of  the sweetest shop/man-caves I have seen. You of course are going to have an open house with plenty of refreshments, right? (I'll even tell you where Red Badger hides his jugs.)

I've worked in horse barns with rainwater washin manure under my back.    Ive worked under shade trees.    Ive changed transmissions with the pickup astradle a ditch.    All the time Ive tol myself  S O M E D A Y ! ! !    Ill have a decent shop.     I laid thisun out and wife said Where the shower? Said they wont be none. She said Yes a shower,  and a kitchenett,    in the A C area. We might need to stay there in a storm!        I said Y E S S S S! D E A R  !!!!!!
Really buildin it for my son to enjoy when he retires from the Army. But I hope to get a few projects thru it for I turn-in.

No pic today, yall got the idea. Just an up date. Got all the siding on, and about 1/4 of the roof. Boys are in summer school, and only work about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs day. Kant wait to get thru!!

Thanks all for the encoragement!  Just got tired of makin do. This is my last goround, got a little $$, so I decided to do it right at least once! 

Oh! Did I mention, Im a little proud of it too!

Locked up the shop 10jul14. Yippie!!!!!!! Here is some finals.





Now I have to install 14 windows, and start on the interior framing. See yall latter!!!

Your just so energetic and thats such a nice lookin building.... why not just load up your tools and head this way - I could use a new shop!  and I will share the jug with you!
