When I turned 12..the 22 on my bike handlebars was traded in for a 30-30..nobody bothered me either..rural central coast California..sorry to say, not that way now...

Back to the topic.  I always dissemble as much as I can without making more work at the other end.

If I am ask about contents I say "machine parts".  They are after all just simple machines.
