I don't want this to evolve into a lengthy discussion on the merits and liabilities on coning a barrel.  I want to cone the barrel on a 45 that I am building to accept the same .451 or.454 ball that I use in my pistols so that I only have to buy 1 mold so: Does any one know where I could rent or trade for a reamer.

Mr Woodchuck

I've seen a few articles on coning Doug ... the best yet was where the guy used a file to cone his ... maybe in Muzzle Loader Mag ... not sure.

doug i used one of those cone shaped fine stones you can use in a drill,i got my budy to true it up in the lathe first it worked really good and leaves a nice smooth finish just give the barrel a good flush when finished.
