You've got to watch this video. This young guy makes a very sturdy hut with stone tools he makes on site.

He could thrive if his plane crashed in the jungle and he was left with nothing. Mountain man tests would be a breeze for this guy.

It's amazing.

I build stone ovens when camping, but never tried anything like that. Pretty neat..

seen the video before . my question is how long did it take in "real" time ?

Patocazador

It wouldn't matter to me how long because I couldn't do it in a year. He doesn't look muscular but he's in better shape than me.

Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

I saw that a while ago. Pretty impressive, but they never let you know how long it took him to make it. Not taking away from his obvious skills, it just would be nice to know what you are looking at if you found yourself in a situation where you found yourself needing one.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

Looking at the adobe itself each brick needs at least 3-6 hours even in hot weather to set up so I am guessing it was not done in one day or  maybe even more than 2

Molding and firing all those tiles and all those bricks..more likely 2 weeks or more than 2 days.. Even if he worked on it full time.. ever cut a tree with a hatchet??

would have to agree with you ! I`ve cut down , limbed ,and sectioned a good size tree already using a tomahawk . back in my mid twenties when I was to young to know better  ROFL , took most of the day and a heck of a lotta hard work . cant even imagine doing it with a primitive stone ax ! I`d say a good solid two weeks if not more , involved in that entire job ! have to give him credit , not everyone would know how to do a lot of what he did in the video !
