I love strawberry, rhubarb pie. That is one thing that grows pretty good here is rhubarb. I wonder if adding tapioca powder to the pie mix would work? Or do you think that might make it wierd

Tapioca will work just fine. The Wife uses it in her berry pies and rhubarb-custard pie. If you use too much it will get all rubbery. It will still eat o.k. but just a bit weird..
