For all those Mink Oil users out there...

I've used Natural Lube 1000 as a patch lube for almost 20 years, always found it to be an outstanding lube for year round hunting here in NC.
And for the range, I can shoot a 40-50 shot range session without wiping between shots during most of the year, but its not wet enough to do that during the dry low humidity winter months...and I usually just squeeze a few squirts of Hoppes Plus BP in to bag of NL1000 patches, squish it all around, and shoot the whole session just fine.

I've recently come into a couple cans of Mink Oil from Track that I might as well use...and had a couple of questions:

1) Are there any particular benefits to using Mink Oil over other lubes? (ie: very cold weather?)

2) How do you apply it...ie:

A) Melt some into a stack of patches?
B) Wipe each patch across a can of it at the time of using it?
C) Use your fingers to rub it into each patch separately to pre-lube them?

Same questions for a 3rd can which is a 50%-50% mix of Beeswax & EVO.
Thanks

From a couple different sets of replies, it looks like cold weather is the main attraction...obviously don't need it here in NC.

Its too inexpensive to bother trying to resell it, and the 'tins' that it came in look like they would be worth keeping for something anyway.
Since my NL1000 is a proven lube for my hunting, "that ain't broke I ain't gonna fix it".

So I'll just microwave the mink oil into a few bags of dry patches and use it up plinking at the range.

Thanks
