Well, the deal was we would rake some leaves up and burn them yesterday and then we would do some shooting. Cory, my youngest boy thought that was an excellent idea. We got out the Bess which I was going to use this year and Cory was going to shoot his CVA kentucky flinter in 45 and his NW trade gun in 56, yes, thats 56 (long story).

Here he is shooting his Trade gun...

Here is our target...

Its a drawing he made of his oldest sister.  hdslp The 4 shots between the eyes are from the 45 using tick spit patch and 65gr of 3f. He made 5 shots but flinched on his first shot. The one in the middle is his shot from the trade gun using a 530rb, 70gr 2f, and double thick tick spit patch because we cant find 550rb. the largets off to the left is from the Bess. we spent the rest of the evening shooting the old soccar ball around the range.  bunkr

All shots were made about 40yds off habnd.

It's Great you have kids that like to shoot. One of my daughters - loves it. The other could care less. Unfortunately the one that shoots is in college. I hope to hit McKinley Rifle-Pistol club this evening, and bang away. Have been shooting the bow and hope to put some meat in the freezer soon. Good Luck during the hunting season. Tim

How do you prepare soccer ball?  Fry it, broil it or what?   cuch

Tim, do you shoot traditional archery? Cory would love to learn, actually, I would too! I live on Oakwood between alliance and Louisville. You'll have to come over some evening for some shooting.

Jim, it takes a while to prepare properly. First you gotta let the ol dog tenderize it for a while. Once you try it though, you'll never go back to plain ol leather again! Lol.
