I want to venture into making a pair of mocs. I would like knee high, as I always liked the look. I am getting back the hide from my first deer, commercial tanned...oh well, and would like to use it for them. I want to do thick leather soles with my deer hide uppers. Anyone have any patterns they can share? Pointers are also welcome. I have done leather working before but never got around to trying mocs. Thanks!

(susp) Check ou "I needed a pair" in Moccasins and other footwear, are these what ya had in mind, I also soled and heeled em for extra wear.

I liked the native tech pattern for the eastern center seams, then made seperate uppers that attach to them......that way ya can wear em with or without the long knee high thing......

Thank you for the links. I am probably going to make a pair and then add my own uppers onto them as well. Just gonna make a mockup first out of cheap canvas.

Good luck and post some pics of the process and finished product if you can.

Thought I would post this since it seems to be the easiest directions I have found. Thought others would find it handy as well.
