patch lube referance

ive noticed that one of the most beat down subjects are what to use for patch lubes.  aside from the various market lubes offered i know many just make thier own.  while usually one post will get many responces, a few weeks later its brought up again. i think it would be nice to give everyone a chance to list thier recipes and mixtures ( the ones they are willing to share anyways) and put together one refrence for all to see and try.  perhaps include best operating conditions, sourses of some more unknown components and how they are used could be noted to enable other to tailor the loads to thier own needs.  may prove to be a very useful sourse of information for everyone.

Are you voleenteering to combine all the recipies into a single document ?  

Or do you want a single topic board for these recipies?  I agree it is one of the subjects that gets a flurry of posts when it comes up, but do not see it geting its own board.  I moved the responses toyour post to shooting accesories where I think the topic belongs... If enough of you vote for its having its own sub board (like tanning does) we can do that...

(added later)  I am working off my laptop and as such do not have the option to scan for new post added since your last visit function (something about the way this laptop works) and have had to go through each topic individually...  anyway I have noticed there are a lot of posts spread out over the rifle and smoothbore sections dealing with lubes and patches si I have made a command decision and will be adding a sub topic under accessories for lubes and patches and as time allows will move all references to that area.... Look for it in the next couple of days...

Just me but letting everyone post their favorite(s), past and present, in one document would  1.  make a great reference on lubes  2.   be easily accessed   3.  be more or less definitive   4.  eliminate the need for constant lube threads   5.  answer questions in detail   6.  give a definitive "lube stand" to all.   Let's do this!

i hadnt considered making a whole sub board for this topic, only collecting the posts and combining them intoa single refrence to be posted on the same board as the charts and informationb, this seems lifke a better ideal as member wil probly put inthier subject line the basic lube  use ( ie cold weather lube, warm wether lube, lube for smoothis, lube or..,. ect and ect.) this is a better idea than i oribinally imagined. at the very least it will allow current member to review and study on other lube recipes.

Thank you for volunteering!  once you get everything all set up and in one document we will all sing praises to your name...   just don't forget to post who you got each recipe from so they get the credit they deserve....

really wouldnt bother me none.. lol, didnt relize i was volenteering , you see that what happens when you speak up in the classroom, you get called on!! now i remember why i sat in the back row all through school. lol          naw it wouldnt bother me none, just would have to have everyone pm me the recipe and i could start getting them together.  if yall was so inclined.
