Have a couple of questions I want to ask....

Ok weather has cooled down again so I am ready for stage 2 - just gotta get a stretching pole set up someplace - Can I use a metal pipe of should it be wood?  I have some schedule 18 aluminum pole that is the right length but don't ant to hurt the hides...

Also what about hair on tanning?  I'd like to learn how to do that also....

Frame can be metal as long as the skin does not rest on it, not so bad with aluminum but steel will cause rust stains.

Well just to update ya'll - I now have two completed hides ready for tanning, and a third almost ready for bucking. 
Major hold up has been getting cash together to build the wringing station - finally got some scrap steel poles fro the uprights and an pole to fit across them now just have to set it up - has been raining and damp for the last week so could not get anything done...
