I have been a civil war reenactor for over 30 years and have had great luck with both german #11 caps and cci caps. lately the cci caps have been cheaper and easier to find, plus they seem to burn hotter.

I've used several different brands through the years and for both rifle(#11)and revolver(#10) I've had the best luck with RWS . i my self will not use Remington
and if i have to will use cci mag but not cci nonmag. I've heard RWS is a pretty hot cap. all i know is when i pull the trigger on a RWS cap it goes bang the first time every time.  this is just my experience and yours may differ.
