Jim is wantin a new pair of britches, not store bought, so-o-o  Guess I'll try canvas till he gets the hang of brain tanning!  strpot Ok, so my question is how do you do the seam up the back, whip it with raw edge in (rub and itch), or whip it with raw edge out (sittin on stick)and hope you don't spend to much time sittin round the campfire, or lap it and do the two needle seam, ?   Think same question will apply to canvas or leather,  appreciate any help.  All else fails will just make him a cloth and bead it up pretty on the front, a LONG shirt ( yeah it do blow and snow here in OK, and cheeks is no place for frostbite ) and high top mocassins- weather coolin down enought to think about a capote- too hot to sew in summertime,  Do so enjoy reading about your escapades and projects, work prevents me from spending as much time as would like.  Thanking you all in advance.

That seam as well as all interior seams should be flat felled.
