On Friday 10-9-09 I did a 10 mile round trip day trek. I went into an area know as bear trap in the Los Padres National Forrest. I left the trail head at 10 in the morning reached the top had lunch and returned. Nothing much to report saw one mountain lion print. It was the size of my hand. Reyes creek was extremly low this year. Even at the head waters.
No pictures this time. I am returning there in a few weeks and will take some pics.
Got back to the trailhead at 1330 in the afternoon. 3.5 hours isnt to bad for 10 miles of up and down walking at 4000feet.

Yeh Russ!!! Thats some hoofin it ,us flatlanders in the mid west  get to 4000ft. and we get all tuckered out. Sounds like a good time to me though. Even if I would get a little winded.
