 This is a small county owned Nature and History Park. The main times I will be there are the Pioneer Day ( http://www.hcp4.net/jones/programs/pioneer.htm ) and Heritage day ( http://www.hcp4.net/jones/programs/heritage.htm ). All are welcome and they are always looking for knowledgeable volunteers.  I have been cooking there for 15+ years. If you can make it then please come. All are welcome!!!

  Just caught the 7 day weather forcast. CLEAR and SUNNY for saturday!!!  High temp of 78deg. Perfect for a day at the Park, Jesse Jones Park!!

Man that looks like a lot of fun......I wish I could be there!

 Had a great time! Met some old friends, made a few new ones!!  Cooked a LOT of food:

5lbs Pinto beans
6 lbs Scrapple
4-14" Dutch Ovens of buttermilk cornbread
2 12" Dutch Ovens of the same
A double batch of Bear Sign
2- 16" Dutch Ovens of peach cobbler
1-14" and 1-16" Dutch Ovens of yeast rolls
For the crew I made:
Roasted Chicken (2)
pan fried sweet potatoes w/onions

I think I used a half cord of wood!!!!

Will do it again in Feburary.
