Doing as well as can be expected since the pacemaker 3 weeks ago. Looking forward to going to the Kempton gunmaker doings Used to be Dixon's) Gun Fair next weekend. Got to take a towel to sop up the drool. Of course, I'll also have to go to Dixon's.

Doing OK for now. I had a stress test yesterday and the tech said it appeared there was a blockage. I'll talk to the cardiologist next week. Probably will want to do a stent or worse.
I don't feel bad ... just hot. Highest temp this week was 103 deg. and we weren't even in the extreme heat zones.

I got 2 stents in Mar. 2005 and 2 more in Aug. 2008.They do make a difference

The thing is I already had a triple bypass 7 years ago. More hospital time is a bummer since I have to plant food plots and get ready for bow season. All my hospital trips have been in August .. bad month for me.

Today is the first time in weeks I've been able to log in.  Weird mojo been stalking this forum.  But I know the next time I try and log in that weird crap may start up again.

Strange, I wondered why I hadn't heard anything from Hanshi for a while.
Strange things have been happening here.

I noticed that too.  Same few posting something here and there but NO real activity.  While hunting is now lost to me permanently fear not, I will continue to spread my BP wisdom for the peons to gather up and use in their gardens.  It's just hoped that everyone wakes up enough to scroll down and occasionally post something.  whipping

And I do so very much wish all of you good health.  It's concerning that so many of you have had major procedures and injuries.  I'm almost thinking I'm the most "healthy" geezer on this site.

No way, Jose'.

After my 2 stents I don't run out of breath just going up the stairs and I don't fall on my face while walking although I might look like I did.

Last Monday I got up at 3:15 am and drove 200 miles to the tree farm, mowed the 8/10ths of a mile roadway, disked up 4 food plots, planted 3 of them and fertilized, took my wife out to dinner in Perry, FL, and drove back home to arrive at 10:15 pm.
AND I didn't fall on my face once.  blah

I had only one stent and that was in the army...ours not theirs.

You make me TIRED with so much activity, pale face.
I 've gone through stress tests continually for decades; I think they call it marriage.

I've been told people have used me up, I feel more like they threw me up.

Hanshi, I'm serious now. I feel that your Parkinson's disease is a result of your body and brain being thrown around all those years in martial arts. Muhammed Ali get smacked around quite a bit and he developed P.D. as did a number of boxers UFC fighters.

My problems are relating to ignoring sound advice from my wife and the doctors. I think we both have ourselves to blame for our health problems.

Twenty years ago or more my rheumatologist told me that if it wasn't for my physical activity in the dojo that I'd be confined to a wheel chair.  Not talking about damage here, but with the exception of maybe lots of competition, being thrown in judo/aikido and such is "creampuff" stuff.  Counterintuitively, the harder you are thrown the more gentle the landing.  I've been thrown many times on hard surfaces with no problems.  Anyway, in aikido you "roll" when thrown rather than hit the mat.  Except for my crooked spine, which is congenital in my case, the ra and pd are immune disorders.  Yes, I did box and spent time as a sparring partner for an amateur fighter, but I didn't take much abuse at all.
