I've been shooting up a lot of my Swiss 3f in my cap and ball revolvers and was looking to replace some of it but my local supplier is out of it. However, they had old einsford(spelling?) and from what I can find on the web its pretty comparable to Swiss. Just curious as to others experiences with the goex product.

I do not know which is better but I have been using Goex for nearly 40 years. I have never had a problem with it.

I always use Goex and have no problems with it. I don't feel the need to test other brands but I've tried just about all substitutes and Goex wins every time.

I have used and mostly use Goex. I have a couple of pounds of Graf Brothers powder and I cannot tell the difference. That said, I only shoot a rifles and pistols a few times a year so I am not by any means an expert. I go through several pounds of cannon grind a year but that comes from an alternate source and I have no idea who even makes it commercially.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

I've used several brands of powder over the years but Goex products - Goex and Jack's Battle Powder (made by Goex) -  are my usual powders.  Never tried OE but it's supposed to compete with Swiss at a much lower price.  Performance wise it's definitely closer to Swiss than regular Goex.  I'd likely prefer it in c&b revolvers.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
