It seems to me a lot of old timers that went eastern are now swinging back west,I know I am ,trying to get some buckskin pants together and shooting a caplock again after flintin it for 30 years

I'm still passionate about flint longrifles in the thick woods.  Caplocks are fine, I own 3 of them, but flint is still where I live.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

I guess I never left. I've always enjoyed the stories and lifestyle of the Mountain man. As far as the type rifle the most common rifle was a a flint lock. I have  caplock, but would love to have a full stock Hawken in 62 cal. rock lock. That would be right up to Green River {up to the highest standard } [hmm]
