It is important to know that there is hope, help and a way out.
Writing to us is a first step. The next is to take a second step to find assistance.
My coming out of depression started with knowing that there was hope. I am so glad I sought that help!

Thanks folks, but it hasn't changed my plans, the national forest here is closed up, no camping till summer and 115 degrees, idiots, everything here is against the rules, then when I lost my pickup in a wreck recently, that was the end. Going to sign my check over to the ol lady and she can have me cremated with it. Can't find a pickup to replace mine, so it's time to check out. Was fun while it lasted, but, dreams are for fools.

Before you check out - have you talked with anyone ?  Clergy, The VA if you are a vet... or Any of the Hotlines?  Please get some one to talk to before you pull the plug....

hntr when you've had a belly full, friends don't help much, they can't change the situation. Things just keep piling up, so I got tired of it all. My little dog Max jumped up in my lap and started giving me a lot of love, and I looked into his little brown eyes, and knew I couldn't leave him. To him we're a threesome and that's all that matters to him, so I put my arms around my little teddy bear and am still here. No one will ever love you like your dog. Not a woman in this world can compare to my little teddybear. ;D
Thanks red badger for the help in your pm, tried to write you tonight, but it didn't go through.

Brian.
As I stated in my PM's and my last post on camping... Want to see you in March at the shoot... Should have me and my grandson there. Need to  share that cup and some time around the fire.. Only three months away now.. Just hold on. That dog could be your savior yet.. Know what you mean about how they look to you. had one like that for years before he had to go on his last hunt and not come home with me.

I understand where you are coming from, Dec. 17 2014 my 50 year old wife had to have knee replacement, then we just about had our part paid off than she is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Oct. at least it is operable, they need to shrink it to get it a way from a large artery, after 3 chemo treat treatments the MRI showed that it has shrunk to les than half of its original size. Prayer works

Well, I made it thru the bad places and have found help in the desert, camping and shooting. Decided to listen to my own heart for a change. Thanks to all of you who've been encouraging and have helped me thru this situation.

William

My prayers for your continued recovery and additional altitude away from those dark and lonely places. God bless you.

good for you  I know it can get rough but the good days will come again ,I lost access to my whole camp setup about 5 years ago, its stored with a buddy about 100 miles away and I cant afford to run back and forth to go to a local rondy, things look bleak to me too, My wife doesn't sypathise with me at all as she deals with severe depression herself(we're a pair) hardly get to shoot anymore but just have to keep looking forward to better days ,just hope my days don't run out
