18th century 'Journal"

Well another project with some scrap leather and waxed thread...I gave making a 'Journal" a try.. It turned out OK for the first attempt... I based the design on pictures of old 18th century originals and some reproductions that are sold by various sutlers, although they were way better built... Buckle is reused from an old dog collar...   Is it Spring Yet??

It does look like your "traditional" I-Pad should fit right in there.       Nice job by the way, we "cheapsters" have to keep coming up with these things.
