wampum garter/ arm band

Here is a pair of garters I made for a friend, but some people wear them as arm bands. Let me Know what folks think and I'm interested in opinions , should they be linen backed or not.

Looks real nice. I would back them with fabric or buckskin. It just makes them sturdier.
