I have started doing volunteer work at a dog rescue Center  taking dogs for walks that the women cant handle I have been working with a 18 month old Lab great Dane cross called ace he was a bit aggressive when he first came in he had been mistreated did not like men he is now after 4 days my best buddy, it always amazes me how you can with a bit of love and affection turn a dog around this dog loves kids he will make a good pet for some family once he has been desexed  and has had some more training he will be good to go he shows no aggression if you take his food away when he is eating.

Any man who is good to dogs is a friend of mine! Any man who abuses dogs(or women or children, or any helpless creature) is my mortal enemy.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

Red Badger

Sure show us pictures of a cute pup who needs a home and then make us remember that for most of us he is 1/2 way around the world!   pnic

Keep up the fine work Bernie!  Hopefully he will find a loving home soon and all the animals you are helping with will also!

My daughter and grandson have been involved with a shelter for about 6 years. Among other things they, do on site, is to foster dogs in their own home and work on adoptions. Very rewarding work.

The ex and I used to foster dogs. I agree, very rewarding.

I agree, also, with the opinion that a person who dislikes dogs, in general, isn't worth the time of day. There are certain dogs that are unpleasant to be around and certain breeds that right, wrong, or indifferent make people uneasy, but to dislike the entire canine species tells me I'm dealing with a person who's mean -- in both senses of the word, malicious and petty.

my wife says no more dogs, you are gone so much and I'm not getting stuck with the clean up. LOL

Nice of you to volunteer.

My family has working sled dogs. She doesn't know clean up until you have 40 dogs!  ;D
